Job summary

JPMorganChase in Seattle seeks a Senior Principal Architect to shape the target state architecture for the firm's on-premises compute ecosystem and to drive strategic infrastructure modernization.

You will partner with the Chief Architect to set architectural standards, influence technology direction, and lead governance across critical applications and platforms. The role includes advancing AI infrastructure, ensuring security, compliance, and enterprise-scale resilience.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on architecture concepts and 10+ years applied experience.
• Extensive experience leading infrastructure or platform architecture initiatives within large-scale tech organizations.
• Deep expertise in on-premises compute infrastructure including bare-metal provisioning and hypervisors.
• Production experience designing and operating Kubernetes/OpenShift or similar platforms.

Responsibilities

• Advises and leads architecture strategy across multiple domains within on-premises compute stack.
• Leads governance activities including design reviews, risk assessment, and regulatory alignment.
• Translates complex architecture concepts into actionable recommendations for senior leadership.
• Drives security architecture including zero-trust, hardware attestation, and workload identity.
• Authors architecture decisions and standards to guide engineering teams across domains.
• Establishes infrastructure-as-code standards and reference architectures.
