Job summary

Red River in Wisconsin is seeking a Systems Administrator to ensure availability, security, and performance of enterprise systems. You will manage Windows Server, Active Directory, Entra ID, Microsoft 365, Nutanix, and cloud environments, and partner with engineers, security, and service desk teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in IT.
• Five or more years of experience administering enterprise infrastructure environments.
• Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, Entra ID, and Microsoft 365.
• Experience with virtualization platforms and cloud environments such as Azure/AWS.
• Experience with backup, disaster recovery, endpoint management, and business continuity processes.
• Networking fundamentals: DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VPN, VLANs, firewalls.
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Windows Server, AD, Entra ID, M365, Nutanix, Azure, AWS, and related hybrid infrastructure platforms.
• Monitor system health and performance; participate in capacity planning and reliability improvements.
• Support backup, replication, DR, and business continuity activities including validation and testing.
• Implement and maintain infrastructure security controls, hardening, vulnerability remediation, and audit support.
• Support endpoint and identity management technologies (Intune, GPO, access controls).
• Escalate complex infrastructure, cloud, M365, identity, and endpoint issues (Tier II/III).
• Develop and maintain technical standards, procedures, and knowledge base articles.
• Assist with automation, scripting, and evaluation of new technologies to improve security and efficiency.
• Collaborate with engineering, security, service desk, and business teams on infrastructure initiatives and incident response.
• Participate in IT service management processes (incident response, changes, problem investigations, service requests, maintenance).
• Participate in scheduled maintenance windows, after-hours support, and on-call rotations.
