Job summary

Analysis Group, Inc. is seeking an Infrastructure Systems Engineer to maintain and secure servers and networks across on‑prem and cloud environments.

Responsibilities include installing, configuring, and troubleshooting hardware and software, and managing virtualization with a focus on reliability. The candidate should have 3+ years of relevant experience, strong Windows administration and security knowledge (Linux helpful), and hands‑on experience with Dell/Pure storage, VMware, SolarWinds,

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of substantive relevant work experience required, 5+ years preferred.
• Experience with Dell and Pure storage.
• Proven experience and success with virtualization (VMWare or equivalent).
• Proven technical knowledge of current server hardware, protocols, and Internet standards.
• Excellent hardware troubleshooting experience.
• Strong knowledge of systems, server software, hardware, and networking protocols.
• Experience with scripting and automation tools.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
• Firm understanding of Windows system administration and security required, additional experience with Linux will be helpful.
• Experience working in a team‑oriented, collaborative environment. Familiarity with Jira is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Installing, configuring, and maintaining physical and virtual servers and networks
• Managing virtual machines in the data center and the cloud
• Working with Information Security to manage updates, patches, and access rules using automation tools whenever possible
• Overseeing system performance and proactively troubleshooting issues using SolarWinds or similar health monitoring tools
• Troubleshoot hardware and software errors, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues using ServiceNow and Jira
• Handling back‑up procedures for on‑prem and cloud‑based systems
• Create and maintain technical documentation
• Maintain asset management, including system inventory and related documentation and technical specifications
• Participate in 24x7 on‑call rotation to troubleshoot and resolve critical issues
• Experience creating and maintaining an automated disaster recovery process is a plus
