Placements24 seeks an innovative Information Security Engineer to fortify defenses by designing, implementing, and maintaining secure infrastructure across hybrid work environments. You will collaborate with IT operations and development teams to embed security into the tech stack and drive security improvements.

You will lead audits, respond to incidents, and automate security tasks while providing guidance on best practices to other IT teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in information security engineering or a similar technical security role.
• Hands-on experience with network security technologies and protocols.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation.
• Familiarity with security frameworks like ISO 27001 or NIST.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing security vulnerabilities.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage security solutions, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and VPNs.
• Implement and maintain security controls for cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure).
• Conduct security audits and assessments to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
• Respond to and investigate security incidents, performing root cause analysis and implementing remediation plans.
• Develop and automate security-related tasks and processes to improve efficiency.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance on security best practices to other IT teams.
