Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company LLC is hiring an I&C Hardware Engineer in New Stanton, PA, supporting WPB hardware design and instrumentation & control cabinets. This hybrid role requires onsite presence two days per week and reports to the I&C Safety Systems Manager.

The role focuses on preparing technical packages, reviewing hardware designs, and coordinating with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain to ensure builds meet requirements and standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Knowledge of computer hardware, design drawings, and technical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review technical packages including drawings, specifications, and hardware requirements.
• Review hardware design in system architecture, cabinet layout, BOM design, system cabling interface, cabinet power design.
• Collaborate with quality engineering, supply chain, marketing, customer service, manufacturing and supplier base.
• Support SAP Material Master, BOM, and Routing maintenance; assist with ECO, MWO, and RFQ/Sales Order reviews.
• Develop and perform Commercial Dedication Instruction (CDI) documents.
• Provide technical support with engineering and shop operations on obsolescence management, qualification, product lifecycle and new product introduction.
• Assist product marketing and sales with offer development, marketing materials, and customer presentations for WPB sales.
• Set up and monitor equipment for seismic, environmental, and EMC tests.
• Support resolution of technical issues including obsolescence.
• Develop test procedures and execute functional tests.
