Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company LLC in Warrendale, PA is seeking an Electrical/Computer Engineer to support the hardware design and delivery of Instrumentation & Control cabinets and related electrical hardware. You will ensure designs and project documentation meet quality requirements and collaborate with manufacturing to resolve issues.

You will report to the Safety & Reactor Systems Engineering Manager and work a hybrid schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering (required).
• 0–3 years of engineering experience.
• Knowledge of analog and digital circuit analysis/design.
• Awareness of field devices and control devices typical to the power industry.
• Awareness of standard drawings including schematics, cabinet drawings and panel layouts.
• Experience in AutoCAD/3D Modeling software.

Responsibilities

• Issue drawings, BOMs and technical specifications for I&C Safety System products.
• Compile technical and quality documentation for procurement, testing and manufacturing.
• Support the Common Q platform with Vendor and internal alignment.
• Perform evaluations of equivalency to maintain manufacturability and part change evaluations.
• Develop engineered solutions and part change evaluations to address obsolescence issues for various electrical products.
• Interface with suppliers and manufacturing facilities to support technical issue resolution.
• Assist in the development of equipment qualification test procedures, support during testing, evaluate test results and review final reports
• Provide engineering support to customers, suppliers, manufacturing, and shop operations for a variety of products
• Perform engineering calculations to support design or analysis of products.
• Complete assignments independently within project schedule and budgetary requirements.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of assigned tasks.
