Job summary

Hydra-Power Systems, Inc. is seeking a Systems Engineer to develop complete hydraulic solutions from sales notes and sketches, including hydraulic and electrical circuit design, mechanical design, and component selection.

You will document designs with CAD, direct fabrication and testing activities, and ensure all products meet engineering and customer specifications. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or related STEM degree and 5+ years of experience in a related field.
• CFPS or IFPS certification is preferred but not required.
• Strong understanding of fluid power, manifolds, and electrical control systems.
• Familiarity with HyDraw, MDtools, Autodesk Vault, Inventor, and AutoCAD.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Must be able to lift/move up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Translates data from sales notes, sketches, and customer specs into functional hydraulic machine designs.
• Utilizes CAD software to document designs via machining, fabrication, and assembly models and drawings.
• Organizes and stores project information across multiple data management systems per policy.
• Directs and coordinates shop personnel in fabrication, assembly, and testing to meet specs.
• Works collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.
• Communicates clearly with customers and coworkers, remaining calm under pressure.
