Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Commissioning Project Manager - HV/BESS to lead planning, execution, and turnover of high-voltage substation and battery energy storage commissioning across 2–3 concurrent projects. This role requires on-site at job sites with hybrid work arrangements.

You will own scope, schedule, resources, risk, and stakeholder coordination, translate contracts into actionable plans, drive readiness, testing, energization, and documentation, and coordinate with customers, utilities,

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of commissioning experience for utility-scale electrical facilities including HV substations or BESS.
• Ability to manage multiple projects or complex workstreams with cross-functional teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Willingness to travel; valid driver’s license and project-site access.
• Proficient with MS Office; scheduling and project-management tools; P6 is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own the assigned HV or BESS commissioning scope across typically 2-3 concurrent projects, including deliverables, milestones, schedule, resources, risks, constraints, documentation, and turnover.
• Develop and maintain a commissioning execution plan, milestone/register, and resource forecast.
• Translate contract requirements, interconnection requirements, and OEM requirements into an executable commissioning scope and work plan.
• Lead readiness reviews and ensure all prerequisites are complete before testing or energization.
• Coordinate field commissioning teams, third-party testers, and witness activities; manage testing, retesting, and closeout.
