Job summary

Peter & John Ministries seeks an HR Generalist to guide payroll, benefits, onboarding, and employee relations across PJM, Brighter Media Group / BRIGHT-FM, and River Valley Ranch. This role works closely with the PJM HR Manager to administer core HR programs and ensure compliant, compassionate people operations.

You will manage vendor relationships, conduct HR compliance activities, support policy interpretation, and provide timely guidance to leaders and staff across multiple Baltimore-area

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years of HR experience including payroll and benefits administration.
• Degree in HR, Business Admin or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• HR certification preferred (aPHR/PHR/SHRM-CP).

Responsibilities

• Administer payroll and benefits for PJM entities (full-time, part-time, seasonal).
• Oversee benefits programs and vendor relationships; lead open enrollment activities.
• Manage recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes with hiring leaders.
• Ensure HR compliance, maintain employee records and HRIS data integrity.
• Provide guidance on policies, employee relations and performance management.
• Support multiple sites with in-person HR presence and travel as needed.
