Job summary

Mental Health Cooperative is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to provide day-to-day HR support across East Tennessee locations, including Cleveland and Chattanooga. The role partners with leaders to ensure consistent HR practices, employee relations, and performance management while traveling regionally.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in HR or related field and 3+ years HR experience, with strong communications and relationship-building skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR or related field.
• 3+ years HR experience, with employee relations and performance management.
• Experience supporting leaders across multiple locations.
• Healthcare, behavioral health, or nonprofit experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide HR support to assigned locations and advise on policies and workplace concerns.
• Build relationships with leaders and associates through regular communication and onsite presence.
• Guide performance management processes, documentation, accountability and next steps.
• Own regular HR reporting and partner with HR on organizational initiatives.
• Support onboarding, employee changes, offboarding and HR systems usage.
