Job summary

ICEF Public Schools in Los Angeles, CA seeks an experienced Human Resources Generalist to manage daily HR operations, onboarding and offboarding, and personnel records while serving as a primary contact for employee relations. This role may involve travel to school sites and occasional home-office work.

The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree in HR or a related field, be knowledgeable about labor laws, and demonstrate strong communication and leadership abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in HR, education, public administration or policy, or related field.
• Knowledge of state and federal labor laws and employment provisions.
• Ability to handle confidential/sensitive matters with discretion.
• Strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
• Proven leadership, teamwork and project execution abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily HR operations and onboarding/offboarding processes.
• Maintain physical and digital personnel files and audit files.
• Update HR systems to ensure data accuracy.
• Resolve HR support tickets and respond to inquiries.
• Support metrics tracking and HR dashboards.
• Assist with development of the department manual and resources.
