Job summary

Shepherd Center is hiring a HIM Coding Manager to oversee coding operations within the Health Information Management department. This role requires at least 5 years of progressive coding experience and 3 years in a leadership position.

The Coding Manager will ensure accurate and compliant coding while driving performance improvement initiatives. Ideal candidates should possess advanced knowledge of coding practices and tools, particularly within an Epic environment, as well as strong leadership capabilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in hospital-based coding operations.
• AHIMA or AAPC credential required.
• 3 years of leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily coding operations for inpatient and outpatient services.
• Implement coding productivity and quality management systems.
• Lead compliance audits and implement corrective measures.
