Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a Transmission Line Engineer to design high-voltage lines and associated structures. You will perform detailed analyses, conductor selection, and equipment specifications, using PLS-CADD and related tools.

A strong ABET-accredited engineering background and 3+ years in the field are required. The role offers a hybrid work setup with three days in the office and two remotely, plus a generous relocation package depending on location.

Qualifications

• Degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program required.
• Related engineering internship or co-op experience preferred.
• Proficiency with PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE essential.
• 3+ years in transmission line engineering.
• Knowledge of fundamentals of electrical transmission line design.

Responsibilities

• Design transmission lines in the 69kV–765kV range.
• Perform structural analysis and design of transmission structures.
• Develop cost estimates and procurement specifications.
• Model lines in PLS-CADD and prepare drawings.
• Review vendor submittals and ensure code compliance.
