Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator Hematology in Detroit to support complex drug trials by coordinating patient visits, screening, consent, and data documentation within a hematology-focused research setting.

You will work with research nurses, engage in patient recruitment, perform vitals and routine assessments, manage ~10 participants, and aim to enroll 12–15 patients annually while maintaining compliance with study protocol.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of clinical research experience in a patient-facing role.
• Experience on drug clinical trials with some complexity.
• Experience with patient recruitment and screening potential participants.
• Proficiency in obtaining informed consent from patients.
• Ability to perform vitals and EKGs.
• Experience with chart review and documenting trial information.
• Familiarity with trial operations and protocol adherence.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Understanding of regulatory and data requirements in clinical research.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and execute study visits for hematology trials.
• Guide patients through schedules, procedures, and expectations.
• Collaborate with research nurses to support protocol procedures.
• Participate in patient recruitment through referrals, tumor boards, and new consults.
• Review charts to assess eligibility and document data.
• Obtain informed consent and ensure patient understanding of risks and benefits.
• Manage a patient load of ~10 participants with ongoing follow-up.
• Aim to consent ~12–15 patients per year across multiple trials.
• Support multiple studies within the hematology group.
• Document vitals and perform basic assessments including vital signs and EKGs.
