Placements24 is seeking a skilled Helpdesk Support Technician to join our client in Welkom, Free State. You will deliver first-line IT support to end-users, diagnosing hardware, software, and connectivity issues, and ensuring timely resolutions.

The role blends remote and in-office work, offering flexible hours and opportunities for certification and career growth within a collaborative IT team. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential, along with familiarity with Windows

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Helpdesk technician or similar IT support role.
Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS hardware and software.
Experience with network troubleshooting and remote support tools.
Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+) are advantageous.

Responsibilities

Provide first-level technical support to users via phone, email, and remote access.
Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.
Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and peripherals.
Manage user accounts, permissions, and access to company systems.
Document support requests and resolutions in the ticketing system.
Escalate unresolved issues to senior IT staff when needed.
