Job summary

Solving IT, International seeks a Senior Healthcare Data Engineer to design, develop, and support scalable data solutions across healthcare, pharmacy, claims, and population health data. This role builds reliable data pipelines, improves data quality, and creates trusted datasets for reporting and analytics.

You will apply strong SQL, Python, and Databricks expertise while partnering with business stakeholders, analysts, and technology teams to deliver practical, scalable data solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in data science, computer science, information systems, statistics, healthcare analytics or related field.
• Four+ years in healthcare analytics, data engineering, BI or related area.
• Three+ years designing and supporting data pipelines using healthcare or pharmacy data.
• Strong hands-on experience with SQL, Python, and Databricks.
• Experience with ETL/ELT for large, complex datasets.
• Knowledge of data warehousing, data marts, and relational design.
• Experience on cloud-based data platforms or distributed computing environments.
• Understanding of healthcare data domains (claims, eligibility, provider, population health).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support scalable data pipelines for healthcare and pharmacy data.
• Build and optimize ETL/ELT workflows for claims, eligibility, and population health datasets.
• Use SQL, Python, Databricks, Spark to transform and analyze large datasets.
• Create data models, data marts, and semantic layers for analytics.
• Develop data foundations for dashboards, reports, and self-service analytics.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
• Perform data profiling, quality checks, and issue resolution.
• Apply data governance, privacy, and regulatory standards.
