Job summary

McKesson Provider Solutions is seeking a highly motivated Data Specialist to design, develop, and optimize enterprise-scale healthcare data platforms. You will build scalable data pipelines, data models, and BI-ready datasets to power reporting and analytics across the organization.

You will collaborate with engineers, product and analytics teams, ensure data quality and governance, and contribute to cloud-based modernization initiatives.

Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of relevant experience in data engineering or software engineering.
• Strong SQL and relational database experience (3+ years).
• 2+ years of Python development and automation experience.
• 2+ years of experience with Databricks, Spark, or modern cloud data platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Databricks, Delta Lake, Spark, SQL, and Python.
• Build and optimize ETL/ELT processes for enterprise reporting and analytics.
• Develop data models and database solutions for high-performance analytics and BI workloads.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable data solutions.
• Ensure data quality, governance, and security across healthcare data platforms.
• Contribute to cloud-based data modernization initiatives and CI/CD pipelines.
