Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in credentialing.
• Knowledge of credentialing/privileging processes and scope of practice.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize credentialing.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Proficiency in English (verbal and written).
• Experience with electronic records and HIPAA/PII.
• Familiarity with MS Office and SharePoint.

Responsibilities

• Handle credentialing, re-credentialing and privileging in line with regulatory guidelines and IHSC requirements.
• Verify licenses, certifications, education and training for healthcare staff.
• Maintain credential files in hard copy or electronic form, ensuring accuracy.
• Initiate and manage credentialing processes for staff as needed.
• Prepare credentialing packets and guide timely completion.
• Conduct background checks (NPDB, OIG/GSA, NSO, National Student Clearinghouse).
• Maintain current credential files and reflect status of trainings and licensure.
• Produce monthly and ad hoc reports on missing data or lapsing credentials.
• Verify employment history, education, licensure, residency and relevant training.
• Document all work to ensure traceability.
• Coordinate with vendor recruiting staff on status updates.
