Job summary

HMSA on Oahu is seeking an Account Relationship Specialist I (ARS I) to serve as the primary in-office resource for the sales account team supporting mid to large account markets. You will assist with contracting, group enrollment, SBC validation, and rate renewal submissions in HMSA's QNXT system.

This non-exempt, full-time role requires an Associate's degree and two years of related experience, strong communication, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree and two years progressively responsible work experience, or equivalent combination of education and related work experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• In-office service contact for assigned groups. Handles day-to-day servicing inquiries directly with account contact via e-mail and phone.
• Assist with coordination of GTB and certificate requests.
• Validate SBCs, Benefit Summaries, and Summary of Changes to reflect group contracts and ensure timely SBC distribution per Federal regulations.
• Prepare and submit documentation of accepted renewal rates and benefit changes for system updates; verify rates/benefits in HMSA's QNXT system.
• Assist with Open Enrollment and new group onboarding; coordinate with internal HMSA departments to answer questions and resolve issues.
• Screen delinquency reports and determine proactive outreach needs with guidance from the account manager.
• Review retroactive transactions and research claims to identify exceptions.
• Assist with inquiries from employer groups and meet goals for customer retention and servicing standards.
• Collaborate with Strategic Account SAM, ARC, ARS I and HPA; attend meetings and provide in-office support for field-based team members.
• Assist in implementing proactive sales and servicing strategies; back up ARS team members and account teams.
