Job summary

The State of Wyoming's Health Care Licensing and Surveys division is seeking a Health Facility Surveyor to conduct surveys and investigate complaints statewide in accordance with Wyoming statutes and CMS guidelines. The role includes extensive travel and a flexible, home-office–friendly arrangement.

You will work independently and as part of a survey team, gaining professional training and contributing to residents' wellbeing across Wyoming’s healthcare facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare or related field required.
• 0-3 years of progressive work experience (typically in Healthcare) with acquired knowledge at the level of a Health Program Specialist; or 4-6 years with substitution as described.

Responsibilities

• Performs initial licensure and certification surveys, recertifications, complaint investigations, and follow-up surveys.
• Ensures the survey process is implemented correctly and efficiently.
• Interprets regulations and guidance from the State Operations Manual and other federal/state guidelines; provides technical assistance to healthcare providers.
• Determines regulatory category for complaint allegations and communicates findings to leadership.
• Provides oral or written technical assistance to a variety of healthcare provider types.
• Extensive statewide travel to survey sites.
