Job summary

Idaho Department of Health & Welfare in Boise seeks Health Facility Surveyors to conduct regulatory surveys of healthcare facilities and ensure compliance with federal and state laws, regulations, and licensing requirements. Qualifications

• Experience in negotiation and public relations.
• Experience preparing oral and written reports.
• Experience operating a personal computer.

Responsibilities

• Conduct surveys and investigations to assess compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, and state laws.
• Evaluate quality and safety of patient care and facility practices.
• Assess patient health, social, emotional, rehabilitative, and habilitative needs.
• Observe facility staff and services provided to patients.
• Investigate complaints and allegations of noncompliance and safety concerns.
• Conduct interviews and record reviews to gather information for compliance decisions.
• Provide education and training to facilities to promote compliance and safe care.
