Job summary

The Immigrant and Refugee Community Organization (IRCO) seeks a Health Enrollment Assister to enroll individuals in State health coverage, focusing on Medicaid/OHP and Oregon Marketplace populations. The role supports outreach and enrollment fairs and coordinates with the Health Enrollment & Outreach team.

Hybrid work arrangement with in-office days, requiring background checks and CHW/OHP certification. Strong communication and data-tracking skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be certified as an Oregon Health Plan Enrollment Assister.
• Preferred to be certified as a Community Health Worker in Oregon.
• Experience with refugee and immigrant communities.
• Knowledge of health reform in Oregon and coverage options.
• Ability to guide people through complex processes.
• Proficiency with multiple computer systems and databases.
• Experience facilitating community groups or workshops.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Willingness to work after hours and on weekends as needed.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Conduct eligibility screenings and complete intake paperwork.
• Assist eligible Oregonians with enrollment in health coverage.
• Provide health systems navigation and resource referrals.
• Coordinate supplies for outreach events and tabling.
• Facilitate health education workshops and vaccination information sessions.
• Engage in outreach events and partner meetings.
• Attend required training and meetings.
• Perform required program documentation and data entry.
