Job summary

Target is seeking an engineer to help build and maintain reliable data pipelines for hardware observability data. You will work with SecOps, DevOps, and Observability teams to ensure data is available, trusted, and easy to use, while contributing to data schemas, ETL processes, and tooling.

The role operates in a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day arrangement at Target's Minnesota location, requiring onsite and virtual work as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
• 1+ years of data engineering, observability engineering, or related technical experience.
• Foundational data engineering concepts including schemas, modeling, ETL/ELT, batch and streaming processing, and pipeline reliability.
• Proficiency in at least one general programming language (Python, Java) and at least one domain-specific language used for data pipeline development.
• Familiarity with data quality concepts, validation checks, monitoring, reconciliation, and issue investigation for observability data pipelines.
