Job summary
Nscale is seeking an Operational Data & Observability Engineer to design, build, and evolve our monitoring, logging, and observability capabilities for production systems. You will partner with DevOps, SRE, platform, and software teams to deliver actionable operational insights and reliable cloud-native services.
Lead dashboards, alerts, SLOs, and centralized logging pipelines while implementing distributed tracing.
Qualifications
- 3+ years in DevOps/SRE/Platform/Observability roles.
- Hands-on with Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, New Relic.
- Experience with centralized logging (ELK, Splunk, CloudWatch).
- Proficiency in Python/Go/Bash scripting.
- Strong observability fundamentals: metrics, logs, tracing, APM.
- Cloud + Kubernetes experience.
- Strong debugging, documentation and collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement observability strategies across infra, services, and apps.
- Develop dashboards, alerts, and SLOs for visibility.
- Build centralized logging and log analysis pipelines.
- Implement distributed tracing for microservices.
- Establish performance baselines and anomaly detection.
- Troubleshoot production using telemetry data.
- Participate in on-call rotation and incident response.
- Maintain runbooks and platform docs.
- Improve platform reliability and cost efficiency.
