Target is seeking a Senior Engineer for our Cloud & Compute teams in Minnesota. You will design, automate, scale, and evolve cloud-native infrastructure and developer-facing capabilities behind modern retail technology.

You will solve complex distributed systems challenges, deliver high-performance services, and work with product, engineering, and security to raise the bar for performance and reliability. You will operate in a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day setup, with onsite work at Target HQ MN as

Qualifications

• 4 year degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Proficiency in Java, Kotlin, Go, or Python; TypeScript/JavaScript beneficial.
• Experience designing, building, and operating scalable distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience with cloud-native domains such as Kubernetes, containers, compute, storage, networking, messaging or streaming platforms, observability, SRE, cloud management, platform AI, APIs, or web-based console development.
