Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, not required.
• 5+ years grant administration experience.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and philanthropic rules and requirements.
• Familiar with Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act and SE Alaska tribal governments.
• Excellent report and grant writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a catalog of program guidelines, rules, and multi-year plans for the Natural Resources Department.
• Implement and enhance field safety protocols; manage safety equipment and annual safety training.
• Identify grant opportunities and maintain a grants calendar; prepare and submit proposals.
• Ensure grant compliance with policies, legal requirements, and donor restrictions.
• Track and report project progress for internal and funder reporting.
• Collaborate with Finance to track grant expenditures against budgets.
• Serve as primary contact for project partners and coordinate field site visits and events.
• Support preparation of resource management plan documents for Sealaska lands.
