Job summary

Hawaii Community Foundation is seeking a Program Officer in Honolulu to lead grant programs, manage environmental initiatives, and coordinate data, reporting, and communications with partners and donors.

The Hybrid role requires at least 5 years in nonprofit work, grant-writing experience, and strong MS Office skills; travel and community engagement are anticipated as part of the role.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in the non-profit sector preferred.
• Experience in grant writing and/or grant reviewing and evaluation.
• Experience with monitoring projects and writing reports.
• Experience working in natural resources, preferably in Hawaii, and/or with organizations/in Hawaii, including government.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills including effective communication with diverse constituents.
• Strong computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate diverse contractors and partners for project implementation.
• Manage data systems and reporting for program effectiveness.
• Develop and draft initiative materials, progress reports, and funding applications.
• Review proposals, monitor grant programs, and provide funding recommendations.
• Maintain relationships with funders, donors, and advisory partners.
• Supervise staff and collaborate with DDR on donor relations and program strategy.
