  • Prefer knowledge of PeopleSoft HRMS and Finance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide sponsored project advice and guidance to SMHS faculty and staff.
  • Advise faculty and staff of sponsor regulations concerning allowable costs and re-budgeting.
  • Answer faculty and staff questions concerning programmatic and financial aspects of their sponsored project.
  • Assist with proposal preparation: read RFA, review proposals, assist in budget preparation and cost-sharing review.
  • Review proposals for nature and function of work; ensure compliance with regulations and policies.
  • Assist and review proposals in Novelution and submission platforms (ASSIST, Research.gov, Grants.gov, eRA Commons).
  • Collaborate with team on larger proposal submissions as needed.
  • Monitor sponsored projects: prepare management reports, ensure timely submissions, ensure compliance with 2 CFR 200.
  • Coordinate meetings with principal investigators and departmental staff.
  • Provide training and develop grants-related templates and training documents.
  • Handle department administrative duties: mail, phone, supplies, and electronic filing.
