Job summary

The Institute for Family Health is seeking an Associate Grants Manager to oversee a diverse portfolio of grant projects, reports, financial monitoring, reimbursements, and vouchering. The role sits in Planning and Development and supports grant writing and external communications.

Hybrid work is offered; onsite duties include audits and funder site visits at Harlem HQ. The team collaborates across departments to ensure timely deliverables and program success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree plus 1 year work/internship experience or 3–5 years related work experience.
• Interest in health care and human services a must; experience in the field a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with department grant managers to support various projects and grant funded programs.
• Assist with the preparation and timely submission of grant related reports and documentation.
• Maintain grant-related supporting materials and documentation.
• Review financial data and monitor grant budgets with grant accountants and program staff to track grant related spending.
• Coordinate grant activities and ensure deliverables are met in a timely manner.
• Act as liaison with funders, maintaining positive funder relations and ensuring flow of information.
• Coordinate grant compliance documentation and assist with internal grant setup and reporting through funder portals.
• Assist in streamlining grants management processes and maintaining the SharePoint Active Grants List.
• Generate demographic and clinical reports using the Institute electronic health record (EHR) reporting system.
• Support grant proposals and renewals development; coordinate contributions from multiple staff.
• Collaborate with Planning and Development Staff on projects and data mapping/analysis (UDS reporting, AHEC, Advocacy Week).
• Assist in writing, editing, and proofreading materials produced by the department.
