Job summary

Cooperative Education in Fairfax, VA seeks a Graduate Funding Coordinator within the Graduate Division to manage centrally-administered graduate awards, scholarships, assistantships, grants and fellowships. The role reports to the Assistant Director for Graduate Operations and Funding and handles processing, documentation, and inquiries to sustain student funding programs.

The position supports onboarding for scholars, oversees funding agreements, and collaborates with Human Resources and campus

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
Demonstrated experience administering financial support and program funding for students or participants.
Knowledge of university funding processes and related systems (Ellucian Workflow, Banner, Salesforce).
Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong customer service orientation.
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy.

Responsibilities

Process Graduate Division awards, scholarships, assistantships, grants, and fellowships for 500+ students each term.
Maintain records using cloud platforms and Excel with accurate data entry and documentation.
Respond to student inquiries regarding scholarship and award payments and funding policies.
Assist with administration of funding programs (High Impact Grant, Dissertation Completion Grant, Summer Assistantship, etc.).
Collaborate with campus partners to ensure timely award processing and compliance with program requirements.
