Job summary

Roblox is seeking a Senior Payments Compliance Manager to design and enforce global KYC, AML, and sanctions programs. You will lead policy development, risk assessments, and third‑party due diligence to support a scalable payments ecosystem.

This role collaborates with Legal, Product, Engineering, and Finance, reporting to the Head of Compliance. The position is full‑time and hybrid, based in San Mateo, with base pay in the stated range and equity eligibility for eligible employees.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in financial crime compliance, with deep expertise in KYC, AML, and/or sanctions.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in law, finance, or related field.
• Direct experience building or operationalizing KYC/CDD programs, including vendor selection, workflow design, and quality assurance.
• Strong knowledge of BSA/AML regulatory requirements, OFAC sanctions frameworks, and international equivalents.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and continuously improve Roblox's end-to-end KYC program, including CDD/EDD and ongoing monitoring.
• Develop and maintain AML policies, procedures, and controls per regulatory requirements (BSA/AML).
• Build and operate a sanctions program aligned with OFAC and global equivalents (UN, EU, OFSI).
• Conduct periodic risk assessments to evaluate KYC/AML/sanctions exposure across products and geographies.
• Serve as SME and escalation point for complex KYC/AML/sanctions issues and regulatory inquiries.
• Partner with Product and Engineering to embed compliance into payments features and controls.
• Lead and develop the Payments Compliance program with the Head of Compliance.
• Track evolving regulatory requirements and update the program accordingly.
• Perform due diligence on third-party payment partners and processors to ensure regulatory compliance.
