Job summary

MHIA in Houston, TX is seeking a Senior Global Mobility Specialist & Expat Support to lead end-to-end mobility programs, immigration coordination, and related governance. The role requires strong bilingual English/Japanese communication and collaboration with headquarters in Japan and MHIA affiliates.

The position is hybrid, based at MHIA’s Houston HQ, with responsibilities spanning tax, compensation, benefits, and vendor management to ensure compliant, employee‑focused mobility practices across

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, International Relations, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least seven (7) years of HR experience, including at least four (4) years of direct global mobility, expatriate program, international assignment, or employment-based immigration experience.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex global mobility, immigration, relocation and expatriate matters with sound judgment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end administration and delivery of expatriate, rotational assignment, international hire, and short- and long-term global mobility programs.
• Serve as MHIA’s senior point of contact for mobility policies, relocation, and assignment-related issues.
• Coordinate immigration, visa petitions, extensions, and related compliance activities with external counsel and internal teams.
• Manage vendor relationships for immigration, relocation, and mobility services and monitor performance.
• Provide bilingual English/Japanese guidance and communication with U.S. stakeholders and Japan HQ.
