Job summary

Chico State Enterprises is seeking a GIS-support associate to work closely with the GIS analyst and project manager on geospatial projects in Chico, CA. Duties include data input, GIS development support, GPS data collection, and metadata updates.

Requirements include enrollment in a GIS certificate/degree program and at least six months GIS-related experience; familiarity with ESRI tools, databases, and GPS equipment is expected. Partial telecommuting is possible.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in or completion of a GIS certificate or degree program.
• Requires a minimum of six months of GIS-related experience.
• Knowledge of ESRI products; relational databases; GPS tech.

Responsibilities

• Support GIS development and data input/maintenance for the Center.
• Assist with various GIS projects and with collecting and processing GPS data.
• Help project managers with scanning, data entry, data analysis, metadata updates.
• Produce basic cartographic outputs.
