Freese and Nichols, Inc. is seeking a GIS Analyst to join our firm.

You will apply geographic information systems expertise to support planning, engineering, and infrastructure projects by analyzing spatial data, producing high-quality maps and exhibits, and supporting teams across the organization. You will analyze spatial data, create maps, dashboards, and datasets; prepare cartographic exhibits; support GIS services and web apps; perform spatial analysis and data quality control; maintain GIS

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in GIS, geography, environmental science, computer science, or related field
Alternative: 4 years of experience or an Associate’s degree and 2 years of experience
Proficiency with ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Desktop, and ArcGIS Online
Experience working with spatial and tabular datasets and geodatabases
Ability to create clear, accurate maps and technical exhibits

Responsibilities

Analyze spatial and tabular data to support project needs
Create, maintain, and update maps, figures, dashboards, and spatial datasets
Prepare cartographic exhibits that clearly communicate technical information
Support development and configuration of GIS services and web applications
Perform spatial analysis, geoprocessing, and data quality control
Maintain GIS databases, metadata, and documentation
Support internal GIS users through training, troubleshooting, and technical assistance
Collaborate with project teams to meet scope, schedule, and quality expectations
