Job summary

Seneca Resources Company, LLC is seeking a Geomatics Analyst to support the Environmental Engineering team with mapping, land dataset maintenance, data loading from public repositories, and GIS portal administration.

Responsibilities include creating datasets, QA/QC ownership and lease data, and collaborating with vendors while providing GIS training as needed. A strong ArcGIS Pro background and knowledge of land management tools are required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, Surveying, Computer Sciences, Natural Sciences, or related field OR two (2)–five (5) years of relevant experience with GIS
Experience using ArcGIS Pro, Land management software and Autodesk software suite is preferred
Knowledge of Pennsylvania Oil and Gas regulations is preferred but not required

Responsibilities

Fulfill mapping requests for executive meetings, legal documentation, preliminary scouting and AFE (purchase reports)
Create and maintain Land dataset features using ArcGIS geoprocessing tools
Complete interdepartmental data requests by entering and sending data to/from various sources and utilizing ArcGIS
Locate, obtain, and load data from public ArcGIS data repositories
Assist the Geomatics department in developing new datasets and making schema changes
Publish and maintain web maps, feature layers, and applications using the GIS Portal
Conduct QA/QC regarding ownership research, topology and lease accuracy
Coordinate with third party data vendors
Assist in training employees on GIS Portal and desktop applications
