Job summary

Jobot is seeking a General Liability Defense Associate Attorney to join its established Southeast litigation platform. The role offers a hybrid work model and opportunities across Greenville, SC; Columbia, SC; Charleston, SC; Myrtle Beach, SC; Charlotte, NC; Raleigh, NC; and Atlanta, GA with a base salary of $100,000–$165,000 and an 1,800 billable-hour target.

You will manage an active civil-litigation caseload, draft pleadings, take depositions, attend hearings, and collaborate with carriers

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active state bar admission
• Prior litigation experience preferred and insurance-defense exposure

Responsibilities

• Manage an active civil-litigation caseload
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery
• Take and defend depositions
• Attend hearings, mediations, and court appearances
• Review medical records, damages materials, and expert reports
• Develop defense strategy alongside partners and clients
• Communicate directly with carriers and insured clients
• Assist with trial preparation and take on increasing levels of case ownership
