Jobot is seeking a General Liability Defense Associate Attorney to join a growing regional insurance-defense platform with 100+ attorneys. Hybrid work across multiple Southeast locations (GA, SC, NC, and others) is available, with a base salary range of $100,000–$165,000 and an 1,800-hour billable requirement.

The role emphasizes dedicated mentorship, professional development, and client interaction. The ideal candidate will have a J.D., active bar admission, and experience in civil-defense

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school is required.
• Active bar admission in the applicable state.
• Prior litigation experience preferred.
• Insurance defense or general liability experience strongly preferred.
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage an active civil-litigation caseload.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Attend hearings, mediations, and court appearances.
• Review medical records, damages materials, and expert reports.
• Develop defense strategy alongside partners and clients.
• Communicate directly with carriers and insured clients.
• Assist with trial preparation and take on increasing levels of case ownership.
