Job summary

Jobot is seeking a General Liability Defense Associate Attorney for a growing litigation platform with 100+ attorneys. This hybrid role offers offices in Greenville, Columbia, Charleston, Myrtle Beach in SC, plus Charlotte, Raleigh, Atlanta.

The base salary ranges from $100,000 to $165,000 and an 1,800-hour annual billable requirement, with a hybrid work model and robust benefits. You will manage an active civil-litigation caseload, draft pleadings and discovery, take depositions, review

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active bar admission in the applicable state.
• Prior litigation experience preferred.
• Insurance defense or general liability experience strongly preferred.
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Experience with discovery, depositions, and motion practice.
• Ability to independently manage deadlines and multiple matters.
• Strong client-service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage an active civil-litigation caseload.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Attend hearings, mediations, and court appearances.
• Review medical records, damages materials, and expert reports.
• Develop defense strategy alongside partners and clients.
• Communicate directly with carriers and insured clients.
• Assist with trial preparation and take on increasing levels of case ownership.
