Job summary

ADB Companies, LLC is seeking a General Accountant to join our operational finance team. The role blends core general ledger and month-end close work with hands-on project accounting for assigned operational groups.

The ideal candidate has 3–5+ years in accounting, strong GAAP knowledge, and experience with ERP systems like NetSuite. This position offers a hybrid schedule with opportunities for growth in finance leadership.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of accounting or finance experience including GL/close and project accounting.
• Understanding of U.S. GAAP and construction/project accounting (Percentage of Completion).
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA or MBA preferred.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably NetSuite.

Responsibilities

• Assist monthly close with journal entries, reconciliations, and schedules.
• Prepare monthly WIP schedules, Job Cost Reports, and project budgets.
• Provide timely reporting of project financials and review with leadership.
• Assist with project set-up and ensure alignment with accounting standards.
• Analyze contract language for revenue recognition and change orders.
• Research discrepancies and recommend process improvements.
• Oversee inventory related to monthly construction production for WIP.
• Support annual audit with balance sheet and income statement schedules.
• Maintain GAAP knowledge to support GL and project revenue decisions.
• Contribute to improvement of accounting systems and reporting tools.
• Perform other duties as requested by leadership.
