Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking a Full Stack Engineer to design, build, and enhance scalable video delivery platforms and applications for streaming and media experiences. The role spans backend services, modern web applications, distributed systems, and cloud-native development that supports video workflows, playback, metadata services, and content delivery.

You will use Java, modern JavaScript (TypeScript/React), Kafka, Redis, and AWS in an event-driven, observable environment with focus on

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, or equivalent.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong Java backend and microservices experience.
• Frontend experience with React/TS JavaScript frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain full-stack apps for video streaming and media workflows.
• Develop scalable backend services using Java and microservices.
• Create responsive frontend applications with modern JS frameworks.
• Design event-driven systems using Kafka for real-time processing.
• Utilize Redis for caching and high-performance services.
• Deploy cloud-native apps in AWS environments.
• Contribute to video platform capabilities (ingestion, encoding, metadata, delivery).
• Improve performance, scalability, reliability, and observability.
• Collaborate with Product, Architecture, QA, DevOps and stakeholders.
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and planning.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and quality.
• Drive security, automation, CI/CD, and engineering excellence.
