Job summary

Total System Services is seeking a Software Engineer to join our Portal team, delivering scalable web applications and features across devices. You will collaborate with product, development, and QA to implement requirements, adhere to SDLC and security standards, and drive quality through automation.

The role supports a hybrid work model with in-office presence in Denver, CO and other locations. Strong Java/Spring and front-end experience required, with CI/CD and DevOps exposure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, CS or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in software development with front-end tech and modern frameworks.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and microservices with Java/Spring.
• Experience in Agile/SAFe environments with CI/CD, TDD/BDD, DevOps.
• Strong Git/GitHub skills and DevOps tooling experience.
• Hands-on with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficient with SQL databases (Snowflake, DB2, MS SQL Server).

Responsibilities

• Deliver new features, services, and product enhancements.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, responsive web applications.
• Collaborate with Product, Development, QA to improve usability.
• Follow SDLC, coding standards, and security practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across environments.
• Leverage CI/CD, automation, and AI-assisted development.
• Provide technical leadership through design and release coordination.
