Job summary

Global Payments is seeking a Software Engineer to join our Portal team and help shape the future of global commerce. This hybrid role requires onsite at Denver three days per week, with additional days in Cincinnati and Atlanta.

You will own features from design through delivery, build scalable web applications, collaborate with product, QA and cross-functional teams, and adhere to SDLC, security, and CI/CD practices while leveraging AI-assisted development where appropriate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in software development with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and modern frameworks.
• 5+ years designing RESTful APIs and microservices with Java/Spring Boot.
• Experience in Agile/SAFe, CI/CD, TDD/BDD, and DevOps practices.
• Proficient with Git, GitHub, and DevOps tools; cloud-native with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes.
• Strong SQL skills with Snowflake/DB2/MS SQL Server and IDEs like IntelliJ, Eclipse, VS Code.

Responsibilities

• Drive innovation and operational excellence through new features and product enhancements.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications across devices and platforms.
• Collaborate with Product, Development, QA to implement requirements and improve usability.
• Adhere to SDLC, coding standards, security requirements, and best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across development to production environments.
• Leverage CI/CD, automation, and AI-assisted development to improve quality and delivery.
• Provide technical leadership through design, coordination, release support, and reliable delivery.
