Job summary

Humana in Tampa is seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable full‑stack applications across web, backend, cloud, data, automation, and AI-enabled use cases. You will collaborate with product managers and engineers to deliver reliable software and implement CI/CD pipelines in a hybrid work environment with onsite requirements in approved locations including Tampa.

The role requires 3+ years in full‑stack development, modern frontend and backend experience, cloud

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent/relevant experience.
Minimum 3 years' experience in full-stack engineering across frontend, backend, cloud, and DevOps.
3+ years' experience with modern frontend frameworks (React, Angular, Vue.js, Next.js, etc).
3+ years' backend experience (Node.js, .NET, or Java) with RESTful APIs and microservices.
Experience with relational and NoSQL databases and cloud platforms; containerized apps (Docker, Kubernetes).
Strong DevOps experience: Git workflows, CI/CD, code reviews, secure pipelines.
Practical experience applying AI-enabled capabilities in software engineering and automation.

Responsibilities

Partner with stakeholders to understand objectives and requirements.
Lead technical discovery and translate requirements into architecture and plans.
Design, develop, test, deploy and support scalable full-stack applications.
Build front-end apps with modern frameworks (Vue/React/Angular/Next.js).
Develop backend services, APIs, and microservices; implement cloud integrations.
Create AI-enabled features using cloud AI services and APIs.
Implement CI/CD, automated tests, deployment and environment promotion.
