Job summary

Humana in Louisville, KY is seeking a Software Engineer to join a hybrid team responsible for developing scalable full‑stack applications across web, backend, cloud, data, automation, and AI-enabled use cases. You will design, build, test, and deploy solutions, collaborating with stakeholders to translate requirements into architecture and delivery plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent/relevant experience in lieu of degree requirement.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in full-stack engineering across front-end, back-end, cloud, and DevOps environments.
• Minimum 3 years' experience with modern front-end such as React, Angular, Vue.js, Next.js, React Native, iOS, or Android development patterns.
• 3+ years' experience in back-end engineering with Node.js, .NET, or Java, including RESTful APIs, microservices, and security practices.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, cloud platforms, and containerized environments (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB; Azure, AWS, Google Cloud; Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong DevOps and secure engineering experience (Git workflows, CI/CD, YAML, automated deployments).
• Experience applying AI-enabled capabilities (APIs, SDKs, cloud AI services, LLMs).

Responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders to understand objectives, requirements, workflows, and success criteria.
• Lead technical discovery sessions and translate requirements into architecture and plans.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support scalable full-stack applications across web, backend, cloud, data, automation, and AI use cases.
• Build front-end apps with Vue.js/React/Angular/Next.js; design and implement backend services and APIs.
• Develop cloud-native solutions using Azure/AWS/GCP; implement CI/CD pipelines and automation.
• Integrate AI capabilities into apps using enterprise AI platforms and cloud services.
