Job summary

Saia is seeking a freight broker in Johns Creek, GA, with a hybrid work model (in-office Friday and Monday, remote on weekends). You will source carrier capacity, negotiate rates, and coordinate freight movements to ensure on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.

You will build strong relationships with customers and carriers, manage TMS records, and resolve service issues in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s preferred.
• Experience in logistics, transportation, or freight brokerage is preferred.
• Proficient in using Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Negotiates transportation rates and pricing agreements with carriers to secure cost-effective capacity.
• Maintains relationships with customers and carriers to support service excellence and business growth.
• Sources carrier capacity to meet customer transportation requirements and lane coverage.
• Coordinates pickup and delivery schedules to ensure on-time freight movement and alignment with customer expectations.
• Communicates shipment status updates, delays, and service exceptions to customers and stakeholders.
• Maintains Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and shipment records to support operational visibility and data accuracy.
• Resolves service issues, escalations, and shipment discrepancies in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
