Job summary

Saia Inc. is seeking a Logistics Specialist to source carrier capacity, negotiate rates, and coordinate freight movements to ensure on-time delivery and exceptional service.

You will build strong relationships with customers and carriers, manage the TMS, and resolve service issues with cross-functional teams to drive efficiency and growth.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age and authorized to work in the United States.
• High school diploma or GED; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 2+ years of logistics, transportation, or freight brokerage experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate transportation rates and pricing with carriers to secure cost-effective capacity solutions.
• Maintain relationships with customers and carriers to support service excellence and business growth.
• Source carrier capacity to meet customer transportation requirements and support lane coverage.
• Coordinate pickup and delivery schedules to ensure on-time freight movement and alignment with customer expectations.
• Maintain TMS and shipment records for operational visibility and data accuracy.
• Resolve service issues and shipment discrepancies with cross-functional teams to support customer satisfaction.
