Job summary

Arrow Electronics in San Jose, CA is hiring a Field Applications Engineer (Altera FPGA) to bridge customers and engineering teams on FPGA-based designs. You will leverage design expertise and CRM resources to drive design wins and demand creation in collaboration with the sales organization.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering, FPGA experience, proficiency with Salesforce, and strong Excel skills. Hybrid work arrangement, with three days in the office and two days remote.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or related engineering degree.
• Experience with FPGA Design.
• Experience with Salesforce or other CRM tool.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel experience.
• Familiar with AI tools.
• Ability to work independently with minimal guidance and also to work well in small teams.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Champion return on engineering investment and lead customer-facing engineering efforts.
• Drive demand creation by maximizing Arrow content on designs.
• Understand customer needs and leverage engineering resources to facilitate solutions.
• Apply technical knowledge to influence designs using available resources.
• Partner with sales across pre- and post-sales to provide technical support and promote demand creation.
• Coordinate technical calibrations and research with sales and suppliers to support customer designs.
• Attend supplier trainings in person and via conference calls.
• Build relationships and manage stakeholder expectations across suppliers and customers.
