Job summary

Addgene, a nonprofit life sciences organization, is seeking a Financial Planning & Analysis Manager in Watertown, MA. The role partners with the VP of Finance to turn data into actionable insights, build models in NetSuite and Excel, and drive reporting for planning and decision-making.

The ideal candidate has 5–10 years in FP&A with strong GAAP knowledge, advanced Excel, and experience in nonprofit environments. Hybrid work permits onsite collaboration and offshore reporting readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or related field.
• 5–10 years of FP&A, corporate finance, accounting, or similar analytical role.
• Proficiency with NetSuite reporting, saved searches, and data analysis.
• Advanced Excel including complex formulas, pivots, and modeling.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual operating budget preparation and re-forecasts with department managers.
• Produce monthly and quarterly management reporting with variance commentary and KPIs.
• Build and improve financial models for scenario planning and long-range planning.
• Extract data from NetSuite, create saved searches and reports, and support month-end close.
• Collaborate with Accounting to ensure accurate ledger structure and reporting.
