Job summary

Aston Carter seeks an FP&A Director to lead budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and treasury functions from Irvine, CA. This hands-on role partners with executives, lenders, and private equity stakeholders, directing a two-person FP&A team and delivering strategic financial planning.

You will own three-statement modeling, variance analysis, and executive reporting, while driving automation and cross-functional collaboration to improve profitability and liquidity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• 8+ years FP&A, corporate finance, or strategic finance experience.
• 5+ years leadership experience managing and developing finance professionals.
• Strong experience with financial reporting, budgeting, three-statement modeling, variance analysis, and cash flow forecasting.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Own all company financial reporting and analysis activities.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting packages for executive leadership.
• Deliver monthly Budget vs. Actual (BvA) variance analysis and communicate key trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Lead monthly meetings with department leaders to review financial performance and variance drivers.
• Manage and enhance executive dashboards, KPIs, and financial reporting packages.
• Develop insights to improve profitability, efficiency, and EBITDA performance.
• Identify risks/opportunities and communicate findings to CFO and leadership.
• Lead the annual budgeting process across all business units.
• Own mid-year forecast updates and long-range financial planning.
• Build and maintain integrated three-statement financial models.
