Job summary

Eaton’s Distributed IT (DIT) division in Woodridge, IL is seeking a Commercial Financial Analyst to join our team on a hybrid schedule (three days on-site, two remote). The role partners with Sales, Product, Supply Chain and Operations to deliver rigorous financial planning, margin analysis, and profitability reporting while supporting the annual plan and quarterly forecasts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Minimum two (2) years of relevant experience in finance, FP&A, accounting, or commercial analytics.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly sales and orders reporting versus plan and forecast, including variance analysis and leadership narratives.
• Assist in margin analysis (standard margin and return on sales) and backlog execution tracking, partnering with commercial teams to explain drivers and identify risks.
• Contribute to the annual profit plan, quarterly forecasts, and rolling outlooks, including data collection, model updates, and consolidation.
• Support distributor buy-in analysis, rebate accruals, and channel program tracking with key partners.
• Help evaluate pricing actions, deal economics, and promotional programs, providing clean analysis that informs commercial decisions.
• Prepare recurring dashboards and executive ready summaries, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial data.
• Partner cross functionally with Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, and Sales to gather inputs, resolve questions, and drive process improvements.
• Support internal controls, month end close activities, and ad hoc requests from finance leadership.
